Research Articles

I have been developing classroom spaces, experimenting with different ideas and presenting at conferences all over the US for the past 10 years with evidence based mainly in the technological side. Starting this Ed-Tech program at Boise State has really led me back in the research and empirical data world. One of the assignments last week was to find 5 peer reviewed articles based on the topic of our choice. This is strange to say as my office has been located in the Carroll College library the past 4 years, but I just discovered a huge new world (after all isn’t that what Grad school is supposed to do). Zotero has now found a permanent place on my tool bar next to Evernote, Zoom and Photoshop.
I ended up reading way more than the 5 required articles and was struck by both early research that was out there (supporting what all along I thought was right) and also the fact that there really wasn’t a large volume of data measuring outcomes on physical Classroom designs. Going forward i am excited to learn more, read more and hopefully be a contributor to the small but emerging data and the new technology enhanced classrooms. If you would like to read the annotated bibliography that i created and leave some comments that would greatly appreciated.
