So, last weekend I spent out in the middle of Montana near White Sulfur Springs at the annual Red Ants Pants Music Festival. I was there enjoying the music, the vibe, some good brews and was part of the recycling crew for the weekend, so doing my small part to help out.
I had a amazing time and feel in love with two new bands that I had not heard of. One out of Ireland, was I Draw Slow. The other out of Boston was Darlingside. Both put on amazing shows and where not only great musicians but also great story tellers.
The song I want to share is “Garage Flowers” by I Draw Slow. It tells the story of a man who brings home cheap flowers to woo his gal but leaves the price tag on. Being happily married for 26 years (our 26th anniversary is Aug 3rd) I can totally relate to trying to do the right thing but sometimes it just doesn’t work out the way I planned. Maybe it is a guy thing….
Marriage is a lot of work but brings so much joy. I can’t even imagine my life without my best friend and wife Kristy. We have traveled the world, (I had to make sure that I could hang with her 24/7 before we actually got married – took two trips around the world to determine this 🙂 ) and raised two amazing kids together. We really enjoy each other’s company and always seem to have smiles on our faces. Happy Anniversary Kristy!
or as the Irish say it: Gara-ge flowers.
